The Haye debacle has damaged the Klitschko's standing.

I have noticed in recent days that David Haye has copped a lot of flak for opting to fight Nikolai Hairyback. Some of it fair, some of it unfair.

In my humble opinion everybody involved in this sorry saga has to take a portion of the blame. The Klitschko brothers hold all of the worthwhile titles, mainly thanks to the WBA's shambolic and at times borderline crooked running of their business.

So much interest has been generated in a fight or fights involving Haye and either or both of the brothers Klit, that I cant help but feel really let down by what seems like the prospect of these fights not happening, and I believe that Wlad and Vitali have diminished the value of their championships for their part in this sorry saga.

    What do you think?

I think Haye has totally owned them tbh..

Personally im happy he is facing Valeuv will give us another World champ and then he will hopefully beat one of the Klits. Lets be honest Haye has made himself jump to the head of the hw queue with his antics and seriously ****ed with the minds of both the K brothers.

The Wlad/Haye fight being scuppered was unfortunate, and I don't think anyone is to blame. Injuries happen.

I don't like the Haye/Valuev fight though. It's a waste of time IMO. I can see why Haye took it and it is a smart fight for him, but everyone who knows anything realises Valuev is not worth his title... This is an easy fight for Haye.

And it's apparant that Vitali was prepared to fight Haye in September, so WTF? Why back out of a fight we all really wanna see (and have been eagerly anticipating for over a year now) for that circus freak Valuev?

Personally it looks to me as if Haye doesn't want to risk being crushed by Dr. Ironfist before he gets his shot at the percieved weaker brother, Wladimir, and the Valuev fight is an ideal way of dodging Vitali and buying time until Wlad is free again

You may well be right S.G, what I am saying is that the K brothers as the real champs have a responsibility to bring some lustre and credibilty to the belts they hold. Vitali could have made that fight happen and is as much to blame as Haye for it falling apart.

A Dominant KO is needed from each Klitschko to REASSERT Control and quiet down the newborn pups in the division.

There has been too much talk recently, let the KOs begin.

It seems to me that the K brothers (mainly Wlad) are terrified of losing a fight, and they know Haye has a punchers chance against them - hence the rematch/fight my brother clauses in the contracts which basically makes sure they won't lose control of the titles.

It absolutely stinks, and the people who say Haye backed out because he is scared are completely ******ed. 1) Setanta went bust and his wasn't going to fight for nothing, regardless of whether he was injured or not, and 2)Fighting is his job and the K brothers are the ONLY fights out there that are the road to big money, but when the contracts are **** nobody can blame Haye for taking a fight with Valuev for a belt so he can renegotiate better terms at a later date.

Well, Wlad has been on a nice run as of late, and it looks like he has intentions of continuing upon that path with Chambers or Povetkin as his likely next opponent

Vitali is coming off the back of decent wins in Peter and Gomez, and after Haye chose Valuev he's now looking towards Arreola

Haye is a good challenger with a bit of buzz around his name and a strong backing in the UK, but the Klitschko brothers don't need him. Not as much as he needs them anyway. The deal Wlad offered him initially was a bit bogus, but he had everything to gain, and he signed it and was apparently ready to rumble, so what changed? Why is he all of a sudden malcontent with the new contract's stipulations (which as far as I can tell, was significantly less ludicrous than the one he was binded to before)? The only logical conclusion is that he doesn't fancy Vitali at the present time.

Yes, the Klitschkos should make the fights with Haye. And they did. Haye backed out twice. So now they're forced to move onto other worthy challengers and continue their careers...
