how, by getting DLH out of it?

DLH-Pac did make a lot of money off PPV buys, I'll give you that.

It helped Pacquiao gain major exposure and helped set up a mega match up between the two best fighters in the sport.

true, going into the DLH-Pac fight I was none too pleased

but with DLH getting destroyed and having to retire

Manny did go on to better things.

so while the fight itself on paper might not have been the best

the end result, IMO was better for the sport in the long run.

it ended oscar plain & simple. it put him out to pasture. it will allow new guys to step up & try to take over for oscar.

What u guys think oscar sticking around fighting once a year hogging up all the exposure & mainstream fans having to witness oscar vs fraud jr, forbes, & pacquiao is a good thing even though he's thoroughly washed up?

Pac vs oscar did serve boxing well. it allowed pacquiao exposure to try to carry the sport. now we have pac vs mr. counterfeit cash in waiting.

It will make guys step up & finally force cable giants & promoters to try to show someobdy else other than oscar in mega fights.

Pac vs oscar did the sport very very well.

I remember when I posted that DLH/Mayweather hurt boxing more than any other fight or event in recent times because of the incredible amount of hype and such dissapointment in action. I got red K'd to death by Floyd Scouts (still didnt turn me red) and was rebutted with "How can a fight that sold 2.5 Mill hurt boxing?" Idiots just dont understand.

from a purists perspectiv the fight was horrible, but for the overall health & future of the sport it served it well.

It finally allowed the sport to move on from oscar who was far from being the best in the sport to now moving the spotlight to

Pac & Mr. counterfeit cash. Its really a good thing b/c it made the 2 best fighters of the sport its biggest stars.

the red, I think is the single greatest thing about the Dream fight.

as talented as DLH was, and bringing in the casual fans to the sport he really was hogging up the sport .. take into consideration that HBO showed a Countdown show for his tune up fight vs Forbes .. what's the point of hyping up a tune up fight? only DLH could get away with that.

so yes on paper DLH/Pac might not have appeared the best but the end results it worked out for the better.

When the #1 fights the #2 great things usually happen. That's why I never understood Mayweather fans protecting him so much. I'm a boxing fan first and foremost and as a boxing fan, I want to see the best fights possible, Mayweather-Castillo I was one of the most suspenseful and exciting fights he's ever had.

Cunningham-Adamek was thought to be an ok fight, it turned out to be a great one because it was the best fighting the best.
