it didnt happen cause his big brother kicked his ass for 6 rounds, and lewis was only saved by a cut.then retired in stead of fighting him agin.wich vitily called him out from that night till this very day.

It says "PRIME" which means Lewis at his best...a younger motivated in-shape Lewis.

        I'm taking Lewis over Wlad.

he said why did it never happend, and what i said is why. i would have went with lewis aginst wlad myself at that time, or before but he clearly would never beat vitily.and as i remember the wlad lewis fight was going to happen but sanders beat wlad and that was it for that fight.

Prime Lewis was unstoppable unless he got clocked doing something ******, Wlad doesn't 1 punch KO opponents he lets them wear themselves out then KO's them. Prime Lewis would most likely KO Wlad, Wlad's chin isn't great. It'd be a fun fight to watch though, i think it'd be competitive, but ultimately KO or UD to lewis.... this debate will rage on forever.

hard to bet against a prime lennox....i wasnt a lennox fan but at his peak, he as an absolute beast....that dude threw murderous jackhammers when he saw openings

i dont think wlad would have been able to play that jabbing game and would eventually get tagged or gas out from having lennox lean on him

Ah...yes, but I was going with the thread question first. My fault; I wasn't paying attention to the second part.

Lots of questions can be asked about the Lewis vs. Vitali fight and how it would have went down had it been a Prime vs. Prime fight. At that point, I didn't think Lewis was motivated anymore to fight for his legacy. Money, yes...but I think it led him into a false understanding of where he was at in his career. That fight let him know he was through as a fighter at the top. I don't think he had the motivation to train as hard as well as his body not being quite the same as it was in his prime years.

Even when he fought Tyson, Larry Merchant pointed out that both were past their prime. Of course, Lewis had a lot more left (especially with motivation) than Tyson at that point.

What I liked about that fight was that someone was able to push Lewis. Usually when certain fighters are pushed behind their control, and will take the bigger guys for example, they can wear down quicker. Big guys like to set the tempo.
However, we have seen Lewis pushed in the past with Mercer as well and he went the distance...although it was a tough battle that was close.

Either way, I don't think that was Lewis in his prime so its hard to say.
