I disagree, tho u might be Mexican, you don't rep the entire Mexico..

Mexican's are still Latino first and will go with a Latino before going for a Pilipino who by the way has kicked most Mexican fighters asses, he's fought.

I doubt that, Mexican's got our backs, atleast in PR it would be that way...

Mexicans are true boxing fans and will even root against their own once in a while....case in point DLH VS TITO...alot of Mexicans were rooting for Tito and DLH VS PACQIAO, most Mexicans rooted for Paquiao there too.....When Chavez jr got that gift decision in Mex against Matt Vanda they booed and even threw water bottles at Chavez jr......I think alot of Mexicans will go for Paquiao because of who he is, nothing to do with Cotto being Puerto Rican...but I bet alot of Mexican will root for Cotto as well because of the history of Paquiao vs Mexican fighters.....I personally like both Cotto and Paquiao as fighterz..they both are great warriors..but ultimilety I want to see Cotto win....I cant stand Paquiaos fan base and I think they deserve to be brought down back to earth...and I always root for the underdog....

whoa whoa..OSCAR DE LA JOTA was never their own..the majority of mexico fans have NEVER rooted for Oscar..NEVER..he's never been considered a REAL MEXICAN and is often ridiculed in mexico tv..lol Which is why they went for Tito and Pacquiao...then they hated him more cuz he was scared to fight Margarito...

I heard Pac is as hated in Mexico as he is loved in the Phillipines.

I went to TJ on spring break and some drunk Mexican told me this.

Cotto is one of my favorite fighters for sure. I will be rooting for him but I think that Pac should be the favorite. I really don't like that Cotto had to give up that weight. We'll see how much that affects him but it could be big. Anyway, my heart says Cotto but my mind says Pacquiao. Great fight either way.
