I'll message Silencers in case he's around.

I think the list is really good, it just needs some finishing touches.

Salvador Sánchez vs. Wilfredo Gómez was pretty central to the Mex/PR rivalry. Maybe even bigger than Trinidad/DLH. We also couldn't find an SRR fight to include. I guess it's possible although considered GOAT he doesn't have a single fight that stands out as significant enough for top 10.

I think you're right. If you had to pick a SRR fight it would be one of these 3 I think.
        SRR-Lamotta 1 - Lamotta beats Robinson
        SRR-Lamotta 6 - St. Valentine's Day Massacre
SRR-Turpin - Robinson avenges loss in a massive bout for the UK.

Valentine's Day Massacre might best candidate.. It's nearly complete!

Can't really argue with the list although Jack Johnson vs Tommy Burns was pretty important.

Doesn't get mentioned much but George Dixon vs Nunc Wallace for the World Featherweight Title back in 1890 was important because it made Dixon the first black boxer to ever win a world title.

Nice, the list has Silencer's blessing to some degree. Yeah I was thinking the fight with Tommy Burns but I figured the Jim Jeffries fight was more significant since from what I read he didn't get full respect HW supremacy till that victory. Now we just need to get Bert Sugar to give his 2 cents.

True, Jeffries was pretty much the first Great White Hope at heavyweight, pretty much everybody in boxing wanted Jeffries to win that title, it was a very big thing back then.

With the Klits around, the term Great white hope is pretty much obselete. How the tables have turned on that division.

List is looking great guys! Really impressive work here, lots of really insightful discussion too. I keep checking to make sure I am in NSB....

Anyway, the only change I would argue for is moving Johnson v. Jeffries higher on the list, or replacing it with the Dixon v. Wallce fight that Silencers brought up. The first recognized black champion is a pretty gigantic achievement in American boxing history.
