Why was Amir Khan title win NOT shown on BBC?

This is a bit late in coming but..... How come there was no replay of Khans fight on BBC.

With Calzaghe, Froch, Hatton... the BBC bought the fight and played it. Khan is at least as well known/popular as these fighters so why the no-show?

It's a bit strange considering he was thier golden boy when he went to the olympics....

Is this a controversial descision or just a complete oversight?

    Let me know.

It's crap if BBC doesn't show it. Amir deserves the accolades and glory.

      I think they'll show Khan's next fight.

Froch was fighting ( on paper ) a very good fighter. Much better than Kotelnik.
Hatton, well 30k+ pulling power to a fight 5000 miles away.
Calzaghe was the best British boxer at the time.

Why would there be a replay on the BBC, it was a Sky PPV show and I think they repeated the fight on normal Sky Sports last Saturday. The BBC just aren't interested in any boxing unless it's taking place in the olympics, so expect the next boxing you see on the BBC to be in 2012.

Yea, I see your reasoning. Just the way they built him up from olympics, it's as if they decided this wasn't special enough.

Maybe because Warren parted ITV on bad terms when he secured a Sky PPV contract for Amir.

BBC Showed the Calzaghe - Kessler replay, that's the only one I remember being on there since I've been over there.

I will tell you why, because the BBC are a bunch of eliteist ****s who think that by showing Horse racing, show jumping, bowls and F1 that they are serving the public. I ****ing hate them.
