    The Boys Are Back In Town

    Manchester Velodrome ~~~ Friday 21st August 2009

    After another successful Show at Altrincham Leisure Centre, Hatton Promotions are bringing boxing back to the Manchester Velodrome in what promises to be another fast paced night of boxing featuring Michael Brodie, David Barnes, Andy Morris, Rhys Roberts, Joe Murray, Craig Watson, Scott Lawton, Kieran Maher and Alex Dilmaghani.
    Top of the Bill, Michael Brodie returns to the ring after a 4 year absence in his first fight back since he announced his retirement, which came after challenging Scott Harrison for the WBO Featherweight Title back in 2005. Brodie is a well known exciting box-fighter renowned for dazzling combinations, and is lacing up his gloves for a comeback against Mark Alexander; Hackney based fighter with a record of 8 – 3 – 0.
    Former British Light Welter / Welterweight Champion David Barnes the slick southpaw is set to return to the venue where he made his debut in the pro ranks. Andy Morris, the exciting Manchester fighter and former British champion, will be taking to the ring after not boxing in Manchester for some time.
    Hot Prospect Rhys Roberts under the tutelage of Brian Hughes is looking to extend his unbeaten record to 8 fights and 0 on his second Hatton Promotions Show. Olympian at the Beijing Games and Bronze Medallist at World Amateur Boxing Championship, another up and coming star, Joe “Genius” Murray is looking to notch up his third win as aPro whilst signed with Hatton Promotions. Former Commonwealth Welterweight Champion Craig Watson has beaten a number of well known domestic fighters and is known for his fight anyone attitude. Former 2 times English Lightweight Champion Scott Lawton is also fighting after having recently fought for the vacant British Lightweight title.
    Making his professional debut is Kieran Maher who trains at the Hatton gym a former two times Amateur School Boys Champion with a amateur record of 24-6-0. Finally, coming up from Ronnie Davis’s stable, Alex Dilmaghani is looking to extend his unbeaten record to 2-0, after just four amateur bouts, his style is much more suited to Pro game.
