Typically you are a very good poster but that is ******ed. How can you say that when he fights no freakin ww contenders. I mean I really makes no sense. If I beat someone at a weight class and never fight any real challenges at that class, how am I champ? ****, 4 ww's at least have better resumes at ww than floyd.

You moron. You have no idea what you're talking about. Typical Mayweather fan, like Horus or Brandish. Let me explain something to you eh?

Ok, Mayweather won his first ever title at super featherweight (130) in late '98 right? Now, Mosley never, ever even fought at 130 you tool. I really hate it when people make stuff up on the spot to try and make their favourite fighter look better. Really gives me the ****es.

The other thing is that Mosley had held his lightweight title, which is 135 pounds in case you didn't know that already (I'm guessing you didn't), until early '99 at which point he was struggling to even make 135 and moved up for bigger and better things at 147 with huge fights on the horizon, not to mention him fighting Wilfredo Rivera, while Floyd was still fighting nobodies at 130 like Justin Juuko.

Understand this ok? Mayweather and Mosley were never at 130 together. They never crossed paths early in their careers and never fought in the same division until only recently. Mosley moved up from lightweight at more or less the same time as Mayweather first won his title at 130. Mosley never fought at 130 in his entire career. Mayweather was hardly even on the radar at the same time as Mosley in their early careers. The fact that Mayweather didn't even move up to lightweight until three years after Mosley left shows just about how ****** your post is.

Let me make it simple for you: By the end of 2000, Mosley was the P4P 1 and a two division champion beating Oscar at WW after destroying the lightweight competition and beating the big names. Mayweather was still fighting nobodies at 130. He had only fought one good champion, that being Genaro Hernandez, while Mosley had moved up three divisions fighting the best in the world.

So please, next time you think of spouting some more crap, try thinking first ok?

Mosley clearly has the best case. One belt for each division would solve this crap.

The WW rankings are like this:

          Cotto
          Mosely
          Williams
          (in no particular order)

          Mayweather

He dares to call himself an ATG fighter... Well he will never become in the eyes of many, until he does what he had to do for the couple of recent years: fight plenty of great WWs who have been in the division for the last couple of years... And i`m talking about: Williams, Margarito, Mosley, Cotto, Clottey!

By far, Floyd (along with Roy Jones Jr. whom i simply adore) is the biggest "could`ve", "would`ve" boxer in the whole history...

He could have locked his HoF status if he fought somebody out of that list... Instead after he defeated Hatton (which i give him credit for), he proclaimed himself an ATG fighter, and all the top WWs "unworthy" challenges... This is not the way you earn your legacy...

This is coming from a potential hater, as i see a talented boxer, who once took challenges (Castillo, Corrales) but as time passed turned into a scandalous romped hysteric baby, who preffered big names (Judah,Oscar,Hatton) to real challenges (all the recent WW titleholders).

It is not about hating the loud-mouths... Ali was also a trash-talker, but he proved his elite status by fighting the TOP of the TOP`s competitions...

Now Mayweather is taking a lightweight who moves up two divisions up... I can`t say this is a BAD fight, as i respect JMM A LOT, he will become a deserved HoFamer! But in the same way Floyd can challenge Calderon, who will move hell-knows-how-many divisions up, beat him and say that have defeated an unbeaten two-division title-holder!

He did good job in defeating opponents who were in the same ring with him, but the problem is that there are no RIGHT people on his record...

Until there are none, i`m not a Floyd fan!
            Wow, what a great post!!!!

Your post sums up very good Mayweathers career.

            Lots of props to you!!!!

Floyd retired so if he wants to be considered the best at WW,
he has to fight and beat Mosley & Cotto.

Mayweather has never really accomplished anything at welterweight h didnt once fight a WW ranked within the top 10 after getting the belt from baldomir so I dont see how if cotto losses to pac and if he beats marquez puts him back at #2 welterwight.
