I'm not shocked by this. I mean a lot of stars get targeted by wolves. Most rappers, entertainers, athletes get stuck up. This isn't something that's uncommon, and I'm pretty sure that a lot of these guys are paranoid. I'm from the hood, just like I'm sure Vernon and others are, and they grow up knowing and seeing these type of people. Once you get money you go from the regular dude around the way to the person hungry people like this target. Its a catch 22. You got money and what to enjoy yourself but then you make yourself a target. Or you can choose to live a life of fear, scared to go to your hometown to visit your family and too scared to have the nicer things in life (due to people wanting to steal it).

I was watching de la Hoya vs Gatti the night before i heard that Gatti had died. Then i watched highlights of Forrest vs Mosley 1 + 2 a few hours before I heard about Forrest's death, really sad.

That's weird, I stumbled across the first Gatti/Ward fight on youtube in the middle of the night a couple days before Gatti passed.
