    Pacquiao - Cotto unraveling?

    Pacquiao - Cotto unraveling?
    July 26, 3:28 AM

    on't blame me!

I told you Miguel Cotto was prematurely shot after the Joshua Clottey fight.

That's why Arum is so desperate to use Cotto now with a big payday before he loses a fight on ESPN 2 for peanuts.

Cotto didn't bask in any glory after he beat Michael Jennings for the vacant WBO welterweight title.

Michael who? It's not as if Cotto beat anyone that could fog up a mirror. Arum handed him a vacant title and this potential goldmine to fight Manny Pacquiao and this is how Cotto repays Arum.

Try making that kind of money driving a cab when you retire Miguel. Arum is covering for him but Bob is not happy.

So what the heck is Cotto clinging to? He's got millions of dollars coming his way because his promoter positioned him properly after he was knocked out by Antonio Margarito and then dug up a stiff at a cemetery to fight on pay-per-view for God's sake!

Arum should be voted Promoter of the Year right now in July! I previously nominated Dino Duva for the award for dumping Samuel Peter.

    But I digress.

Cotto is getting bad advice and it's time someone says it: Bob Arum, at 78, might not be the Bob Arum of 68 or 58. Arum made a Barrack *****-like blunder off the cuff and made it worse with the attempted cover up rather than an apology that would have set him free.

But nobody is as brilliant or cunning as Arum to get out of this situation. As I have previously stated on my home page, this is not his first rodeo.

Arum said nobody cares about the WBO belt in America regarding Pacquiao - Cotto, seemingly to justify his not being able to convince Cotto otherwise.

90 million Pinoy's would beg to differ. Because it actually insulted his meal ticket Manny Pacquiao and lots of PPV - buying Americans - Americans that saw Pacquiao stop American hero Oscar De La Hoya and Brit Ricky Hatton.

Arum is in serious "salvage the fight" mode at all costs." Arum wants a Top Rank fighter to fight a "getting annoyed" Manny Pacquiao.

Pacquiao wants this fight no matter what. He's a warrior.

Is this fight going to happen? Can't Manny fake a rib injury to at least buy some time for Arum to plan the next politically correct moves?

Are the Golden Boy Sharks circling? Will Floyd Mayweather, Jr. or Juan Manual Marquez step up after their September 19 fight?

Yes, I don't know. maybe and absolutely.

Can Arum even deliver Pacquiao now?

Remember the Billy Joel song of the early 80's, "Pressure?" Take a big whiff Top Rank!

Where the heck is Arum? Is he in Mexico at a frigging Latin Fury card with that Latin hero Samuel Peter of Nigeria? Yes. Arum's new Latin Star of David is the same guy Dino Duva dumped.

I honestly don't know where he is while his Rome may be is burning.

Arum needs to expain the math to Cotto. Simply say he will receive $5 million or so in November by kicking back around $150,000 to the WBO. It's addition by subtraction. Standard operating procedure.

Heaven forbid Cotto wins, we do it again because of a rematch clause and he might take in double.

Let see, against Jennings, he was still the same old Cotto. Suffered a cut against Clottey, bothered it the whole fight, now his shot.

That's what I've been preaching since a couple of months ago. The Cotto (Pre-Margarito) before is gone the new Cotto (post Margarito) is the damaged boxer with no more exciting fight to offer. Pacquiao knew it and will use him as tune up fight for Mayweather.

Pacquiao is just a blown up featherweight and not a real welterweight

Come on man!!! No discrediting fighters at this point pls... I dont go with this analogy of fighters being damaged or getting shot just because they lost or get ****ed up the previous fight, a lot of ATG's where beaten but got up and won again and again and took the loss in stride. Hopkins lost his first pro fight, that didnt stop him. Cotto after margacheato won over jennings and clottey, what more are you asking for, do you want him to kill his opponent to be convinsing enough for you? You have such high standards my friend...
