Why are people saying Cotto is damaged goods?

because of the clottey fight? clottey is no push over and he would give anyone a tough fight. clotteys only downfall is that he covers up for too long and doesnt really throw that much. but still, clottey will make any top fighter look bad. i dont understand why people are saying cotto aint the same sicne the margarito fight and what not. people are crazy...but still, pacquiao cuts him like a dj stoppin him in the 9th.

please, he looked bad in that fight. and not like he was fighting a tough guy or a tough style. bad as in he got his ass beat by a superior fighter who was dumb enough to give the fight away. hes not the same, if u cant see that u are in denial.

its not about going the distance its about just plain looking ****. clottey showed he was far superior only to throw it all away.

Cottey is good but if not for that cut, Cotto would've won by a much farther margin, if not a KO.

Something was not right about Cotto that night against Clottey. Yes, I have said this before, my confidence in Miguel has been shakin'.

What I saw was, a Joshua Clottey slipping and sliding in the ring. What if Clottey had not been slipping and sliding?
Cotto should have won that fight easy based on Clottey's disadvantage of the slippery ring. It's just an observation that does not sit well with me. I like Miguel but....
Anyway, maybe he had an off night, who knows. We shall see soon enough as he has extended his contract with Arum and we shall see him fight a few more times in the near future. I am not counting Cotto out just yet, he is still an entertaining fighter.

Have you seen the Margarito fight? Watch it again. That will answer your question.

Dude your just a cotto fan which is totaly fine I WAS a huge Cotto fan BUT since his Margarito fight maybe even just before it his style has changed its not the same overacheiving fighter I remember! I just watched the Cotto Quintana fight and that fight represented the Cotto he WAS but no longer is he that Cotto lately. HE CAN make a comeback in my mind but its now or never because Pacquiao has NEVER been this good until now so he better watch out!
