Please no.....take that **** somewhere else....go make a thread about your avi and how he feels about it.

I wanna come back later and read thoughts about the situation and about Vernon as a person.

I don't wanna come back and theres 5 pages or more of why ur avi is about racism or not.

Theres enough BS in this thread.

Lol, So Afro-centric represents racism now?
      • Do you even know what the purpose of Afrocentricism since you call it racist?

Lol, So Affirmative Action represents racism now?

Btw, I asked you this question but you conveniently duck it.
      • Do you support the nation of iseral and it's people?

Btw, that picture is about uniting Africa. To stop the wars, and to come together. Something that Bono, Georgre W. bush, and countless of other celebrities endorses...But I guess you couldnt have known that since you already made a conclusion about the picture before you even knew it's content.

its what a man does, its not about the jaguar, its about pride. to u hes handing over a car, to me hes handing over his nuts. if u want to take something from someone like forrest u better be prepared to fight for it. thats the attitude that made him survive on his block and thats what made him a great champion in the ring.

It was dumb, RIP to forrest but it was dump. He had his kid in the car, his son could have been killed also. Looking at the grand scheme of things that care was not worth his life or his son growing up with out his father.

Guns can make you do ****** ****, had vernon not had that gun he may still be with us. he would have more then likely walked away from the car, and thought only of his son.

Lt. The boxer had a gun and started running after the suspects.

"The victim and suspect became involved in a brief foot chase," Lt. Meadows said. "At some point, ******* was exchanged between the two of them. The victim was shot at least once in the head."

Investigators said they are talking to several witness.

"At this point we have a general description of at least two black males driving a red Monte Carlo." Lt. Meadows said.

Police don't think the suspects knew Forrest was a professional boxer. His girlfriend's young son was in the car at the time of the shooting. Family members are flying in from Texas to pick up the child, Lt. Meadows said.

            • It's sad that individuals don't even feel safe in thier own town or city. No one is off the radar. If the "have-nots" think they can get you, it's a rap....sick? yeah. But that's the reality. For those individual passing judgement on Vernon Forrest: If you have never been in that type of situation you can't relate. Sorry, there is no script to a robbery situation. You act off of impulse. You make rational thoughts after the situation has passed. RIP Forrest.....You will be greatly missed.

Being afrocentric is the black equivalent of white power so if one is racist the other is also.

Affirmative action and reparations are both racist because its attempting to fight alleged discrimination with more discrimination against a different group.

I don't support the nation of Israel. They are imperialists who are committing genocide against the ************.

Bush doesn't support Africa and Bono is just a dumbass celebrity so who gives a **** about him.

***** is who you should be worried about when it comes to Africa.

                • The kid was apparently in the gas station when the foot chase and murder happened...

**** is crazy...article I read says that gas station is a known spot for crime...Zahir Raheem had been carjacked there not too long ago...

A car aint **** compared to your life...but we can't relate to Vernon's state of mind during the incident...

Either way a life lost for nothing...

Being afrocentric is NOT the black equivalent of white power

Afrocentrism focuses on African History and building up pride within the African community that was Stolen, strip, and buried from Africans when brought in chains to america.

Afrocentrism trys to connect the dots for Africans who live in america about the History and Heritage they never learnt since being brought to america.

I have told you this before.

Trying to make what has happened to black people in this country seem like the experience of any other ethnic group is like saying apples are just like lemons.

AFRICAN Heritage and History were taken and Hidden from Africans.

Remember For Africans in America it was.

Try to learn anything like reading and die.

Try to remember the fact that you are HUMAN and not horse or monkey, face torture and die.

Don't bother loving your children, they're not really yours. Don't bother forming ANY attachments matter of fact, nothing is permanent for you.
                    • You used to remember your name BEFORE they brought you to America
                    • You used to remember your language. BEFORE they brought you to America
                    • You used to remember your religion. BEFORE they brought you to America
                    • You used to remember your ancestors.BEFORE they brought you to America

Think about all the history and Heritage Africans have lost during the time of slavery.

                    My last name is Smith.

Do you know what that means to me?

It means my family slave owner name was probably smith.
Think about that and the affects and legacy that still have on African Americans to this day!

What Afrocentrism does is try somehow to reconnect Africans to their Histroy
                    beyond post slavery.

So you explain to me how something like this can be considered racist.
When if it wasnt for racism, bigotry, and cruelness, this wouldnt even be needed for African to learn about their history beyond post slavery..

                      "alleged discrimination"

The United States government knowing violating the Constitution of it's own law

Tell me genius how do you suppose we fix the wrongs of the past.
                      by just forgetting about it?
                      Let's just moved on?

Senator Tom Harkin said it best.

"my ancestors was afforded protection of this Constitution resulting in a crisis in black communities all over this country...if past generation benefited from my family's abuses against them, then present generation will pay for those wrong with federal money for back pay...

the unequal distribution of wealth in this country exactly correlate to the unequal treatment of its citizens...until the books are balanced, race will factor in every aspect of American life...there is no "let's just move on" without addressing past error..."

but you are too ignorant to understand the dynamics of what discrimination and slavery has caused.
