This is the reason i don't like Dana White and UFC. If they are confident that they are better than boxing, why are they always putting an event the same date as a major fight in boxing.

Even if the UFC is free on tv, i am getting Pac-Cotto.

This UFC event was comfirmed about 3 weeks before the Pac-Cotto fight so not like they are moving it to put it on same night. same with the Floyd-JMM fight the UFC had that comfirmed months before Floyd got injured and had to move it.

i doubt it'll affect cotto-pac because of the interest.

floyd-jmm has luke warm interest so ufc might affect them.

Come to think of it, I was watching Jeopardy's Thursday edition which I DVRed, and "Pugilism" was one of the categories. It was the double jeopardy round and the $2000 question or the last question in that catergory was, "After "Dancing" in the ring with Oscar De La Hoya, this welterweight champ danced on "Dancing With The Stars", and guess what? Nobody even dared to buzz in. We are talking about three people here who is so diverse in their studies, hobbies, interests and must have covered more reading materials than most of us here and nobody knew who Floyd was!

              That made me ponder...

Not really. Even if Dana was competing, he wouldn't use a card in England. He'd lose money because the sports bars don't play the delay at 10 PM. They keep playing the live feed earlier in the day.

Both events aren't in any trouble.

i am not surprised. most people who don't watch boxing do not know who mayweather is. All they know is tyson and Ali.

I don't really see a problem because as people have said before, this is on ****e for free, broadcasting from England and will be on US TV around 4 or 5 PM, so it will not compete with Pacquiao-Cotto.
