Frankie Gavin Already Taking Aim at Amir Khan

Frankie Gavin moved to 3-0 (3) with an emphatic second-round stoppage win over Graham Fearn last weekend, the talented youngster then turned his sights to the man at the top of the MEN bill, newly crowned WBA light-welterweight title holder Amir Khan. [details]

Gavin needs to be moved correctly. He has a lot of potential, even that china chinned hypejob might be too much at this stage.

I don't want this guy to be another Reid, that's for sure.

I totally agree. They need to move quickly with a steeper curve. I'd also like for them to get top quality US sparring in.

Yeah, they are all real talents but you have to remember that they are just starting out.

I wish Gavin would get shot of Farnell.

If you need to work on your defence would you hire Iran Barkley or Hatton as your trainer ?

Gavin will find out eventually that Farnell like Harrison with Khan could not take him to the next level. Gavin has lots of potential but he needs to ditch Farnell imo.

the level training here in britain is quite poor. there are not many world class trainers at all. but gavin is a obviously a good talent but he has no power at all which will be a problem if he ever gets to the top

im not saying khan is the best there ever was, but he is a world champion... so why the **** would someone with three fights even talk about it (yes i know khan said he would beat mayweather over 4 rounds at a similar stage in his career)

He should just concentrate on his own career for time being... only had 3 fights he has potential but no where near world level yet...
