It's true, it's true; how on earth you go through 5 divisions only picking on smaller fighters is beyond me.
Doesn't change the fact Floyd has been a ***** above 135 though.Comment

it amazes me people call him a ***** over 135...he went up to 154 and won a wbc belt from oscar...beat some good names above 135..but i guess its floyd hateComment

Just to add on to the Tito/Hopkins arguement that Hopkins just beat a blown up welterweight. That has to be the most common used GENERIC arguement i've seen. Does it really matter that Tito used to be a welterweight? We can all agree that he carried his BIG PUNCH over to 160 so does it matter?
Did Hopkins beat him because he was stronger and bigger OR because he put on his best boxing clinic of his career, sticking and moving and throwing combos all night, and using his defense. That's what beat Tito, not Hopkins's strenght. And Tito was a favorite coming into that fight precisely because everybody thought that Hopkins was gonna fight him Toe 2 Toe and get knocked out. It didn't happen, B-Hop's SKILLS got in the way and spoiled the Tito-Jones matchup that HBO was licking their chops over.Comment

No, no it's not Floyd hate Larry. It's realism. Lets take a look at his resume above 135...
http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php...=352&cat=boxer
I mean this is the bulk of his resume there:
Henry Bruseles
Sharmba Mitchell
Zab Judah
Carlos Manuel Baldomir
I mean come on. It's just pure average. He did beat DLH which I give him much credit for but again, DLH was way past his best. The Hatton fight was always a foregone conclusion to anyone who's name wasn't Glen McCrory.
Where are the dangerous fighters? Cotto, Margarito, Williams etc. Certainly the last two I have mentioned would JUMP at a chance to face Floyd (Arum wouldn't put Cotto with Floyd a few years ago imo) and would EASILY be the best opponent Floyd has faced above 135.
It's also the way he sounds off about being the best ever. Comparing himself to Robinson, Ali etc. I mean Robinson was, what a six time lineal Middleweight champion? And Ali faced EVERYONE that was ANYONE.
He is also not doing himself any favours by facing JMM. I mean what a DISGRACE Floyd is for making JMM blow up and tempting him in with a payday. It's a joke - JMM should still be making 130 and Floyd should be fighting Welters since he claims he is the best and that is his division.
I'm going to finish with this: If the pound for pound number one and two were not small guys coming from 130, you can bet your ass Floyd would still be in retirement. If someone like Williams challenged him (as JMM did) you could bet your ass he would NEVER come back even if that fight would be a massive one (although I agree it may not make quite as much as against JMM).Comment
