I definitely agree with you. he needs to test manny in an intelligent way and get a feel for him. Cotto has been in enough battles to be able to get an idea whether he can put more pressure on manny. I am sure manny will welcome that advance and try to counter and try to feel cotto out too.

Pac is going to be super careful at the start of the fight, he probably going to study Cotto for the 1st three and prolly going to let his hands go around the 4th and if he sees he can connect will go for combinations but I see exchanging with Cotto and whamo! Pac on the canvas.

no second thoughts. i've always thought this was a 50/50 fight. too many unknown variables like can pac hit hard enough to hurt cotto or is pac's chin strong enough to handle a punch at 147.

pac is a slow starter now because the opponents are bigger and he doesn't want to risk getting hit. he starts slow to figure out his opponents speed and timing and reflexes.

manny is so fast that if he gets your timing and speed down you're in trouble.

that's why it's best for cotto to not let him get comfortable and jump him right away. vary his attacks though. don't try to do the same thing over and over again like ricky did.
