Another overhyped fighter bites the dust.
Velazquez just got exposed.

I sometimes think it is funny how some people rag on Atlas like he is an idiot, yet he said that trainers and promoters of top prospects lining them up with cupcakes, so to speak, is not conducive for their development. Tonight was just another example of a guy with a padded record getting exposed.Comment

a 9-0 record is not padded. he was a prospect who fought a very experienced veteran. he needs to fight guys with similar records to him and build him up that way. a guy with almost 50 more professional fights than you is a tough fight regardless.Comment

Not To make excuses because the guy just plain and simple didnt had it in there.
But he came form a 1 year layoff and he was getting a step in comp!!!!!!!Comment

I agree, yet the other guy had 6 consecutive losses- not the pattern of a true challenge for a prospect who is supposed to be a champ in the future IMO.Comment

yea i understand your point but sometimes experience beats talent. experienced fighters know how to deal with up and comers. look at what emanuel augustus does to up and comers. also 1 loss doesnt say he cant be a champ in the future. he just has to make adjustments and his team has to put the right fighters infront of him leading up to him getting a shot at a title.Comment

Are you being bias because he's Puerto Rican or are you genuinely being honest?
Seriously though, none of the brothers showed anything impressive.
Carlos looked like Mayweather in the final rounds toward winning his next fight, IN THE FIRST ROUND (pot shotting).
Then came his brother, I already forgot his name. To my surprise, he was a lot more technical, just as the commentators said, but his opposition was a lot harder than that of his brothers (no ****). He showed INEXPERIENCE, not ring rust.
By the way, my mothers maiden name is VELAZQUEZ and she is from Mexico. Check the spelling OP (that first Z needs to go).Comment
