    Michigan to Host ABC Seminar

    Michigan to Host ABC Seminar
    by Andre Courtemanche @ http://www.*********.com/
Determined to make a difference in the quality of Michigan boxing during his tenure as Chairman for the State of Michigan’s Athletic Board of Control, Brad Wright has arranged an ABC-sanctioned seminar open to officials from Michigan, as well as any other interested state’s commission. Scheduled for February 19 at the SAL Gym in the Salvation Army Building in Pontiac, Michigan, the seminar will be conducted by respected judges Duane Ford of Nevada and Armando Garcia of Miami. Plagued by controversial officiating and judging, Wright has maintained that requiring the state’s would-be judges and referees to obtain ABC certification would make a marked difference in quality standards. During his eventful term as chairman, Wright has also been instrumental in the creation and passing of HB 4335, the bill designed to improve and modernize the State of Michigan's boxing rules and regulations. ABC certification is recognized by most state commissions and nearly all sanctioning bodies. The names of officials successfully completing the one-day course will be sent to the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth, as well as placed on the ABCs national registry. The seminar will be offered for $30.00 per participant and will include lunch and print materials. For more information, contact Brad Wright at 248 561-5632 or 248 828-3254 or bwbox2000@yahoo.com.
