At this point, Rahman wouldn't be an acceptable (or even slightly meaningful) opponent. He probably retired after the loss to Wladimir in 2008, I see he's not ranked by the WBC anymore.

I don't see it. IMO Vitali is a better fighter than Wlad and is a tougher fight for Chambers than Wlad would be. On the flipside, I think Wlad might be a tougher fight for Arreola than Vitali would.Comment

I have it the complete opposite. Wlad is more winnable than Vitali for Arreola.
In what way is Vitali a better fighter than Wlad? His defense and jab don't compare at all, he doesn't hit as hard, he takes far more chances, and he's slower. Vitali has the edge in chin and aggressiveness, that's it.
More exciting yes, better no.Last edited by Jim Jeffries; 07-24-2009, 08:51 PM.Comment

Vitali's offense is better than Wladimir's, he throws 60-70 punches per round with awkward movement that combined act as his defense. We'll never see them fight, but if they weren't brothers and they did, Vitali would win.I have it the complete opposite. Wlad is more winnable than Vitali for Arreola.

Dimitrenko has some of Wlad's habits (like holding the long left out in an opp. face, clinching on the inside) that Chambers dealt well with. When you fight Wlad, you better be able to fight on the outside because unless you have the stamina to consistently get inside and keep peeling him off, there will be absolutly no inside fighting. Chambers is better than Arreola from the outside.
Vitali's style would allow Arreola to be able to work where he wants to more so than against Wlad.Comment
