The Ring Championship Policy "True Champions"

Why all this talk about Glen Johnson and Antonio Tarver dumping their alphabet belts to fight each other? Tarver is recognized as the true undisputed Light Heavyweight Champion of the world and Glen Johnson can still win that belt.
Also, why critisize John Ruiz and Chris Byrd as bogus champions? They aren't real champions to begin with. The true heavyweight champ is Vitali Klitchko.
So why the associated press acknowledge this? I intend to submit a response to every writer or newspaper I read which refers to an alphabet belt as the real championship belt. Who is with me?

the alphabet titles and rankings are absolutley meaningless..... don king can buy any of his fighters rankings without beating anyone... he did it with ruiz, brewster, golota, meehan, seldon, fres, the list goes on and on....

the enitre media should refuse to reckognize them.....

there will be one undisputed heavyweight champion when someone
(hopefully byrd or vitali) unify the belts. What is so difficult
      about doing this?

Alphabet letters = shackles and sanctioning fees.

Unfortunately, The Ring doesn't have (I believe) as many voters as say the AP or ESPN College Basketball/Football Polls.

Anyone know who votes for The Ring belt? Just their writers?

They can try their best, but I think a collection of boxing journalists that don't all cash their checks from the same place make for a better, "true" champion. Of course if the "true" champion loses, the guy who beats him should be champ, not a revote.
