[WTF] Another Solid Prospect In Jail

    David (California)

What is going on with Mike Alvarado?

    Dan Rafael (1:29 PM)

He's in jail until next spring or so.

    ESPN

WTF, last I heard from Mike Alvarado, he was sparring with Pacquiao for Hatton and had to pull out of a fight with Malignaggi due to 'injury'. I guess this is the injury, I read that he violated his probation.

Alvarado is huge at 140 and is probably the strongest jr. middleweight. He got some solid skills and power too, I see him getting a title at 140, if he can stay out of trouble.

Anthony is supposed to return from knee surgery later this summer. Right now, he is penciled on Aug. 15 off TV on the undercard of the Donaire PPV. Lamont won a belt a couple of months ago and his schedule is not set. Alvarado, unfortunately, is in jail in Colorado on a probation violation and won't be out for about nine months, which means he probably doesn't fight until at least next summer.
