    In between weigh in

How do boxers gain so much weight in between the weigh in and the actual fight? how much time is there in between? i know gatti once gained about 16 pounds in 36 hours or something

I believe they have between 24 and 48 hours. Some fighters are still several pounds above the limit when in tip top shape, they cannot lose any more fat so they dehydrate themselves to make the weight. personally I find it cheating cause the time they have betw. weigh in and fight allow them to go back to their normal weight and thus be bigger/stronger than other guys. they should be fighting in upper weight class.
If they had to weigh in the day of the fight, they would take a huge risk of losing stamina if they dehydrate to make weight, thus they wouldn't do it and we would not see people cheating like gatti (it's just my opinion). I find him much too big for a jr welter.

How much % bodyfat do those guys carry when in tiptop shape? i think 3,4,5% i heard some fighters like kermit cintron carry only 2% bodyfat wich is extremly low. altough after the fight you get to eat pizza's to gain weight again, wich is pretty nice.

I would always make the weigh in 12-hours before a fight if I was the one fighting..

i agree with you. i wish they made guys fight in there REAL weight classes, it would be alot more even. i dont understand how rafael marquez is a lightweight on fight night after weighing in at 118. diego corrales was a freakin welterweight when he fought floyd at 130lbs, not like it matter's since chico got owned but still floyd was only about 135 at fight night. that seems reasonable

Yes it just seems unfair to me, not to mention dangerous (like gatti-gamache from what I heard)
As for body fat percentage, I believe they get down to 3 to 5% , under this you lose strength right away. same for water..
maybe they'll change the weigh-in rules, as well as they changed the fights from 15 to 12 rounds due to some accidents
