          Whilst I respect the guy who never quits the most, on paper I'd rather quit than risk serious brain damage.

          Given the choice of being KTFO'd without serious injury, that's what I'd go for.
          Cotto quit? when did that happen because I don't remember that ever happening, I don't remember him saying he doesn't want to fight anymore..

          as for the thread well I honestly can't say, sure I can pop **** about how I will go hard or go home but then again once you in that position you see things for what they really are. you can't measure determination in competitive sport, there is no way to tell just how determined the man on the other side of the ring is to hurt you, for that very reason there is no way to determine how you will react to it. do you really think Victor Ortiz though he would end up having to quit admittingly? of course not but Maidana was determined and fought his fight breaking Victor's mental focus... no one likes to think they'd be a quitter, a person of lesser strengths than those around them but the reality stands that you can't possibly know until in that position..
