I love JMM, he's what a real Mexican warrior is all about. The fact he said he was offered the fight and didn't think a second in saying yes because his dream is to fight the best and Mayweather is the best....

I just think he's too small, I wonder what game plan he and Nacho will take into this fight? I understand both of these guys are counter punchers but I think if they both adopt that mentality, JMM will lose by decision.

Then again, JMM can't be too agressive because that plays right into Mayweathers speed and counterpunching.

I think JMM has to fight a very intelligent fight and pick his spots very carefully. Damn I can't wait for this one, just to see those two great fighters in the ring at the same time will give me goose bumps...

If somehow, Marquez plays his "smaller man" role to the hilt, and make Floyd more bolder than his usual pot shotting self and chase him, he's got a great chance. That's the only way I see Marquez edging this one out against Floyd...

I have some big money on Floyd, but Marquez is making me very nervous.

You're seriously betting on Mayweather? I'm going to give you some advice, coming from a guy who's been putting money on fights for many years, and rarely lost a penny.

Rule of thumb when you put money on a fight: NEVER bet on the favorite. You get **** odds, which means you make ****, even if your guy wins, and upsets are too common in boxing to make any favorite a "guaranteed" win.

Any time you want to throw cash at a favorite, expecting that minimal payoff, just think back to Tyson/Douglas, where he was something like a 15/1 favorite going in. Fortunes were made that day, buddy, and more importantly, fortunes were lost that day as well.

Theres nothing accept counter punching that JMM brings to this fight that PBF hasnt seen and beat better. But can you say the same about JMM? Who has he fought with a skill set like PBF?

And floyd only has 1 official knock down when he voluntarly went down after he broke his hand. Not from a punch.

And this bull **** about PBF running all the time is silly. Go watch any of his fights except Baldimor and DLH and show me where he is running. He had wars with castillo, corrales, ndou, corley, dismantled gatti and many other fights where he stood in the pocket and brawled. Dont be such a ****head and let you hatred blind you from the truth.
Corley had Floyd hurt, bad. If he were any kind of a finisher, Floyd would be sporting a KO loss right now. The kid ain't invincible.

He can be hit by a counter puncher. I'm not picking Marquez to win, but I think you're looking for a blowout, thinking it's an extreme mismatch, and while it may be, Marquez is too tough to lay down after catching some hooks and right hands from Floyd.

I agree..he is a bit soft in the middle, but he has time to tighten that up. I believe that Floyd will do downstairs ALOT in this fight to set up his head shots. But JMM has MORE than enough time to trim that down.

Good stuff from Marquez. But why does the author say that at 145 Cotto will be severely compromised? WTF?? You mean, losing one more pound off the 146 he weighed against Clottey (where he did NOT drain himself) will severely compromise him? Sometimes I think people say **** just to say it.

no amount of conditioning will help marquez win against uglyboyfloyd. nacho will not him win. even if he will commission angelo dundee to decipher the running and holding style of uglyboy he will not win. losing is his destiny.

one thing that amazingly improve in him is his english.
