Rafael Marquez Plans August 22 Return, Then Vazquez

Former champion Rafael Marquez plans to return to action on August 22 in Guadalajara, Mexico in another tuneup to shake off some rust. A few weeks ago Marquez was involved in a bad car accident but managed to walk away with minor injuries. He is back in the gym training hard. [details]

I'm worried about Rafa. No way in hell he's still in top form. Neither is Izzy. Both gave each other hellacious beatings. It seemed that his reflexes were off in his last fight. Frankly, I would rather watch him fight CC or Lopez but Money Manuel seems to have other plans.

MAN!!!! those two men are war with eachother and they are going to do it again, its like a natural disaster that we get to watch again and again! and they ARE WILLING!!! These two fighters are on a destruction path towards eachother and not even a "bad car Accident" can keep them from meeting again, that is why this sport is so great, because of fighters like these.

I thought Marquez looked fine his last fight. it was his first fight at featherweight...he took a round and a half to figure the guy out and he knocked him out. He did everything he was supposed to do.

              I hope your right.

I think its more their age than anything at this point.

Rafa is gonna be 34 and Izzy's like 100 in boxing years.

I got a feelin these guys won't fight each other again til both at least get their hands on a belt at 126. Do sumthin else 1st. A 4th fight could effectively end both their careers.
