Is PacMan putting his 140 lb title on the line against Cotto?

Is PacMan putting his 140 lb title on the line against Cotto? If he isn't, he should and then Cotto would put his 147 lb title on the line.

Why should Cotto be the only one to put the belt on the line?

Pac fans need to stop with this Cotto is afraid to put his belt up.

Manny should have just agreed to 147 or forget about the fight and go fight Mosley at 140.

    It's simple guys.

I like Manny but I think Team Pacquiao made a mistake by asking for the catch weight in the first place. Cotto should not put his belt up unless Manny puts up his. What is fair, is fair but team Pacquiao wants to have their cake and eat it too.

They are fighting at 145 (ww) not 140 (junior ww). I doubt if IBO will sanction that. Unless you cite what Sugar Ray Leonard did, which is basically against the rules.

BTW, I read from Barracuda`s post that jcc vs pernell title fight was at a catchweight of 145.

I believe it's not possible. Belts dictate only max limit. It's a 140lbs and below title. On the other hand, the 147 title of Cotto can be put on line. I do not really like Cotto's title to be put on line since it is at CW and it's not logical for pac to always defend it in a catchweight. If I were in pac's team, I would put the fight at 147. IMO, 2lbs does nothing to pac's advantage. I would still favor his chances of winning even at 147.

145 is not the welter weight division.

                  That is my point.
