How can there be an excuse when Cotto excepted the offer...2lbs. cotto dont want the belt on the line because he wants a safe net. Also Cotto is getting the biggest Payday of his career. Cotto just came in a fight at 146. Im sure he can do it again and one more lb wont kill him...

i really dont think the problem was pac making weight between 141-147. i think the real problem for team pac was that they're afraid cotto will weigh in 160 come fight night.

so creating a catchweight at the lowest weight possible in the WW zone was key for team pac.

catchweights just create complications.

i believe CW's are fine just as long as they're non-title fights. because a defending champion should have the option of weighing in anywhere within the weight limit if, he is lost of this privilege than i think it compromises the integrity of the organization. you understand? i'm not saying that this fight is not a WW fight because, it is a WW fight.
