I agree with Atlas, to those that disagree, actually listen to what he's saying instead of just going off the thread title. I don't agree 100%, but he's pretty spot on; especially on the 168 tourney.

He said the same crap I said, you can clearly see flash backs of Margarito & Cotto, in the Cotto vs Clottey fight. I really believe Cotto is ruined as a fighter.

Everyone other than a few filipinos knows that Marquez beat Packy 2x.

I had no idea that the judges on both fights were all Filipinos.

JMM, for the most part, you post some really decent stuff. But this "Marquez beat Pac 2x and everyone including your sister's neighbor's cousin's brother knows about it" spiel is getting old. We had judges at ringside, a total of 6 of them on both fights and collectively, they scored it a draw and a win for Pac on the rematch. You could make a case that JMM won both just as you can make a case that Pac won both. Either way, we could all agree to disagree. But to keep posting this, "Everyone knows" stuff is getting downright ridiculous because it is just absolutely not true. I have a ton of Mexican friends who used to work for and with me when I was managing restaurants in Maryland and here in Jersey. I few of my colleagues at my present job and some of my wife's closest friends are Mexican too. I spent a lot of time discussing the Pac-JMM fights with them and some thought JMM won both, some thought Pac won both, some thought they split it and the rest thought that the judges got it right (even with the incorrect scoring by one judge in the first round of the first fight). They don't share the same passion as you do in discrediting Pac or maybe you just really believe that JMM won both fights. The point is, share your views but you shouldn't be putting words in other "people's mouth" by claiming that you know what everyone else know. My Mexican friends adore Pac because he is humble and they feel that he fights like a Mexican. The only other things that these guys have in common is that they are all die hard Mexican boxing fans and they are all basically giving Margarito a second chance which surprised me to say the least. I was expecting at least some of them to be more unforgiving or to just say **** him but kudos to them for being that way.
