David Haye is a just a loud-mouthed coward and a fraud. The Klitschkos should have never given him the opportunity in the first place, since he's never defeated a single real heavyweight contender - he's been a waste of their time.

As a Klitschko fan, I have to say...no. I just wanted the mouthy ass to get into the ring ASAP with whichever brother he could sign with, get his beat down, and fade away for a year or two. I'd love to see the Klitschkos face some serious competition, but this guy ain't it, at least not right now. His style is all wrong for facing big guys, and he should've taken maybe half a dozen prep fights in the division before even using the term "Klitchko" in a sentence.

His intent, I believe, was to goad Wlad into a fight right away and make a big payday so that, win or lose, he wouldn't have to take lower paying fights with lesser opponents in the division and, in the event that he lost, he'd still have the money in the bank and time (he's young, yet) to rebuild himself within the division. Problem is that it backfired. Sentanta buckled, and Wlad wouldn't give him **** for the fight, so he's looking at getting a beatdown by Wlad for basically nothing. So, he claims a back injury against Wlad, hoping he can get better terms from Vitali, only to find that, yes, the brothers do apparently communicate with each other, and Vitali was offering basically the same terms. So, he regroups, backs out of the Vitali fight, and where else can he go but to Valuev? At least the guy has a title, is a slow, lumbering giant, and Haye believes that if he can keep from gassing through 12 rounds, he should be able to take a decision win and then maybe reopen negotiations with Wlad, or failing that, with Vitali, and get better terms, since he'll have a title to put on the line.

I can't blame the guy for what he's doing, it's just the way he's gone about it that is irritating to me. You ought never to run your mouth at someone for so long and then not back it up with your ass. My grandfather called it "Letting your alligator mouth overload your hummingbird ass", and I can't think of a better way to describe what Haye has done here.

Haye is a professional boxer that means he fights for a living. What use would knocking Wlad out be if Setanta was not going to paye him.He had expenses paying sparring partners and employees, how would he do that?

As for the second fight it wasnt signed was it?If it had been signed then Haye would be obliged to fight Vitali but in this case he's not. What this means is they were just negotiating, yes there was a date on HBO because it would have been a big fight.Vitali didnt have good conditions, didnt give Haye an incentive and Haye went away.Just shows how thick the Klischkos are not the other way round

BOLLOCKS!!!!!!!!!! your a fcukin disgrace. I dont blame haye for taking on another world champ, the klit****s trying to make him sign a contract with rematch then another rematch then fight my brother if you win, oh and only getting paid of setanta(at the time). the klit****s are the cowards. haye may not have beaten a heavyweight contender yet, but if you wanna talk ****, ok, pacman hasnt beaten any welterweight contenders yet, but he gets the fight with cotto. if the klit****s could have drawn up an acceptable contract, this fight would have already happened. the klit****s are also fcuked, who they gonna fight now. they need haye so there is finally a decent heavyweight fight.

Actually, I'm a boxing fan first, and just happen to be a fan of the Klitschkos, among many others in the sport. Even like Haye. For all his faults, he's a great cruiserweight, and has huge potential as a heavyweight, provided he can make the changes in his style that will let him be competetive against bigger men.

                Anyway, thanks.

Smart move by Haye - he should've done this all along. His problem with the Klitschko's clearly sits on the negotiating table. What better way to increase his bargaining position than to pick up a world title?

I'll always be a fan of Haye, but the way he's gone about amongst the heavyweights only serves to justify rational criticism.

However, on the flip side. I have to feel that Haye was put in a position where a good portion of his fighting destiny would be taken from in. If he can spark Valuev out, if we were eagerly awaiting the fight, we will be salivating for it.

No burnt bridges will stop the Klitschkos wading across the water if Haye sends that kind of message, via his fists, rather than his words.

It's becoming tiring to follow though.
