Yeah, Haye is going to have serious trouble with Jolly Giant Nick. At 7' tall, he's about a foot taller than anybody he's ever been even close to comfortable fighting, and I predict an ugly, ugly fight that will go to the cards, with the sound of coins hitting the table being often heard from the judges seats.
david haye....i cant believe this guy

It makes complete sense for Haye to fight Valuev before trying to tackle a Klitschko. It doesnt make sense that he ran his ****ing mouth for a year and pulled out of both fights tho. Of course he couldnt get a good contract he had NO bargaining chips, he should have went after Valuev a year ago and not have wasted everyones time.Comment

Floyd had a injury right? But it was postponed until a few weeks after the injury Marquez didn't even know the new date.
Haye had an injury he offered to have the fight postponed to around the 20th of July, Wlad went for Chagaev instead.
Marquez walking away and taking a different opponent would have been the exact same thing.
This way Haye gets a Heavyweight "world" title gains more leverage at the table with Wlad so that he doesn't have one of those ridiculous contracts like the ones he agreed to in the first fight and if he beats Wlad/Valuev and then takes on Vitali (big IF) then we may finally see an entire unification of the HW division.Comment

...This is a quality post that sums it all up. Smart from a business and career standpoint, but he talked so much **** about how he wanted the best and how he would KO the brothers, and now he turns tail and runs again. I have a feeling he was even afraid to do the pre fight press conference tour with Vitali this week. He must have thought he was in danger of getting a pre fight beating.Comment

well said .Larry you are usually a good poster but this is dumb
He owned himself wtf??
He wasn't facing Wlad due to sentana going bust, who here would fight for free honestly? This way he gets out of the slave like contract the K brothers set up and buys himself some more leverage and becomes a 2 weight World Champ.
That ain't owning yourself

Doesn't sit right with me that Booth and Haye created these lies about Haye's back being injured when it was just a smoke screen. I guess they had to do something, they could not come out and say its because of Setanta but it seems like a poor move, albeit understandable to a DEGREE.
Dont seem right though i must admit, not after Wlad had put himself through weeks of training and preparation.Comment

Come now.David Haye is just like Roy Jones, taking the easiest possible fight he can to win a belt, nothing more. He's backed out of two straight fights now at heavyweight. He lied aboutthe injury, and now he's lying about the contracts. He just knows he cannot beat Vitali EVER.
Haye is a flat out scared *****, and I hope Valuev has has the best fight of his life as much as I hate him too.
David Haye is no Roy Jones.

If haye was that confident that he could defeat Wladimir he should have taken the fight for sake of pride. Personally, I think that Setanta was just a convenient excuse. The guy's a trash talking *****.Comment
