But I don't understand why Haye would back out of a deal where he is forced to fight Wladimir after Vitali...
Because wasn't he saying from day one how he wanted to KO both brothers back to back...? And didn't his famous t-shirt depict this...?
Be careful what you wish for. It seems they gave it to him.Comment

When it is to avoid a better opponent it is a ***** move....but like I said it is also smart because he will have a belt if he wins and more leverage when negotiating a fight with Wlad.Comment

im a big fan of Haye but damn now i was really looking forwards to him whippin the klitschkos. but now its on, i mean it would be good if he beat valuev. but id he pulls out of this fight to then idk now anymore, he better get his on now.

I agree Vit should destroy Haye but come on Haye can easily make it another year before he faces Vit. Vit will be what 39-40 by then.. who knows what shape or even if he will have the title still!
Smart move MR david Haye

Sparring session...Haye wins from 10-2 to 12-0.
Valuev is actually very weak for a guy his size. The only way he wins is if he catches Haye with an overhand right like the one he landed on Barrett. Haye is way too quick for that plodding shot though so I see Haye by a long and boring decision.
Hopefully the Klitschkos don't blackball him from any more talk of fights between them.Comment

heres the link and the story:
Haye strikes deal to fight Valuev Nov. 7
Former cruiserweight champion David Haye will get a heavyweight title shot but it won't come against Vitali Klitschko, as has been in the works.
Instead, the former cruiserweight champion will challenge heavyweight titlist Nikolai Valuev on Nov. 7 in Germany after snubbing the deal to fight Klitschko, Haye's trainer and manager Adam Booth told ESPN.com on Wednesday.
The revelation was the end of a curious day. Klitschko manager Bernd Boente and adviser Shelly Finkel couldn't reach Booth to finalize a deal they thought they had agreed to for Klitschko-Haye to meet Sept. 12 at the 55,000-seat Commerzbank Arena in Frankfurt, Germany. The fight would have had live television coverage on HBO in the United States.

its actually a smart move with haye... it was getting screwed in the contracts with either klitschko... this way if he beats valuev... he brings a belt to the table and some of his own bargaining power... and he will actually make a lot more money this way... if the klits will be his biggest fight... then you want some bargaining power with the contractsComment
