Abraham vs. Bute/Andrade; A Chance For Early January

I knew all those 2nd Rounds matches would be tentative depending on who wins and how. I hope both winner and loser of Bute-Andrade can stay in the tournament regardless the result.

Well Sauerland does have a option on Bute and Abraham was the IBF MW champ,same version Bute is SMW champ so it seems likely from that pov.

But Bute/Andrade winner fighting in november and then in january is not likely IMO.

Does Sauerland still have an option on Bute? I heard that Interbox paid Sauerland to get rid of that option. I may be wrong though.

I hope Abraham wins that IBF so all the belts(Except WBO) will be on the line in the tournament!!!

And that way we can get a Lineal champ at SMW.

I think that option expired when Sauerland arranged for Bute to defend against Sauerland fighter Mads Larsen. Larsen didn't want it so the fight fell through and Bute fought Zuniga instead.

I doubt if such a thing will ever come out. BTW I could also be wrong in my statement. I think I read somewhere that one of the reasons why Bute wasn't in the tourney was differences between interbox and sauerland regarding said option. Obviously a rumour but who knows?

imo this fight won't happen and maybe showtime and sauerland are just doing it to show that they mean buisness about the SMW tourney.

Showtime not inviting Bute(or Andrade,which is why they aren't there) is prepasturous especially after both have fought on the channel.

Absolutely. But now Bute-Andrade II has been picked up by HBO.......... There's always so much politics in boxing. Impossible to get the whole truth.
