Does anyone else get really annoyed by Roach? I think he thinks too highly of himself, is it just my perception?

I actually see this turning out like Cotto vs. Margcheato but this time in Cotto favor. I think Manny will box him for the first couple of rounds until the bigger man finally walks him down and stops the little man with a big heart. If their is going to be a stoppage its in Cottos favor IMO.

Honestly, for Pacquiao to be effective he needs to tire out Cotto--make him miss a lot of his punches, dip like he did with Hatton when the Brit tried right straights. I am damn sure Cotto's team knows Pacquiao has a weakness with right straights. Obviously, Pacquiao's going to get tagged--but I expect Pacquiao to use A LOT of right jabs in order to slow down Cotto's pressure attacks--use left uppercuts, straights. Pacquiao MUST keep Cotto at distance for him to set up Cotto. He has to keep it in the middle of the ring.
Cotto will undeniably try to use his stif left jab to try to get inside and work the body as well the ocassional left-right--left to the body combination he does often. Other than trying to tire out Cotto--Pacquiao must find a way to get past Cotto's guard and use more right hands to the body--because if anyone has noticed Cotto leaves himself open once he gives that stiff left jab--and given Pacquiao's mobility he can capitalize. I also expect Pacquiao to use his right shoulders more to deflect those stif left jabs in order to go either to the body or head with lefts.
To me, this fight will be the BIGGEST test of Pacquiao's boxing skills. bar none.Last edited by rao007; 07-22-2009, 03:20 PM.

Sharp analysis.I think it's gonna be a technical feel type of fight in the begining until someone is opened and left to be exposed.
