This is unreal that Arum would pass this opportunity up to get Lopez ranked in the top ten P4P. It goes to show you that Lopez doesn't even think he can win this fight. I can't blame this on Arum since he hasn't stated his position on a potential match up between these two guys. It is Juan Ma with the ****** ass comments and making all kind of excuses why the fight won't happen. This guy hasn't been in one tooth and nail slug fest and he already expects a $1 million dollar payday as a SuperBantamweight? Give me a break.

For all his confidence Juanma appears to be made out of the Cotto mold, and by that I mean that he tends to emphasize that he'll fight whomever the company puts in front of him. I have taken his silence to mean that either Arum or Peter Rivera (his manager) or both have strongly suggested that he limit his comments. Regarding money, Juanma got more for his defense against Lotchi than Caballero got for fighting Molitor so he is getting paid. No excuses though. This fight needs to be made. Not that it really matters but I sent Juanma a message through facebook stating that he needed to tell Arum in no unconditional terms that he wanted Caballero next. Not that I think such messages matter, just clarifying that I'm with most people on this one. They need to settle this in the ring and the optimistic in me hopes that all this is a negotiating ploy to get leverage when it comes to making a contract. In my opinion Juanma either KOs Caballero or wins through an easy UD.

Lopez is never going to get a fight with Vasquez or Marquez if he doesn't beat Caballero. Those guys will like wise view Lopez as not a worthwhile opponent. But they've got more mileage on their body and they don't need to fight a young lion to prove themselves. Juan Ma has lots to prove.
