Yo, quote me know! EASTMAN WILL WIN!!! I'm actually betting money on it. $20 to win about $80. Since he's +400 on bet365. I'm a cheap bastard I know, but that's beer money for 2 weeks for a poor college kid.

If he loses, I'll be the first here to eat crow. If he does win though, I'll proclaim myself the greatest!!

eastman won't win, he's just not good enough. he's only no.1 contender cos the division is poor. tito in the summer is the real fight.

You make a valid point about the division being poor. I do believe that Felix Sturm deserves the opportunity more than anyone and Eastman truly hasnt done much, but thats another story.

I do think Eastman is a hard puncher and can take hard punches, but that doesnt make a difference....Bernard isnt a knockout artist and power wont be a factor in this fight. I believe it will go to the cards and Eastman if anything at all will squeak out a split decision...Although if he comes to work and not play he could get a unanimous decision but he would really have to come at Hopkins and keep his defense tight the whole time and not leave himself open, Hopkins is good at counterpunching so that will be a major factor in this fight especially if Eastman fights the way he is talking.

Im liking Hopkins but I think Eastman will pull out on a very close decision....But do I think their will be a KO? Hell NO....But I also thought that about Judah vs Spinks.

Im rooting for Eastman but I realize it could go either way, Eastman is a legitmate middleweight and has fought their his whole career so this will be one of Hopkins toughest fights to date and the fact that Bernard is 40 and has claimed he has slowed down a bit isnt helping.

        Very close fight, very close.

The more I think about it, If Eastman comes bolting at Hopkins and provided Hopkins is fast enough, he will counter punch the bomber all night.

The best gameplan for Eastman after looking at Hopkins style, would be on the outside and let Bernard come to him. Hopkins is expecting a fight and if Eastman would actually stay on the outside and jab and then follow through and counter Bernard then he has a very strong chance of getting a decision.

Their are ways to beat Hopkins and they are very similar to beating Roy Jones....Either you come inside and smother his punches or you stay on the outside and counterpunch (many have tried this with Jones but failed, but it would be a key to victory provided you could match speed) This would work because Hopkins isnt the fastest man.

Eastman sounds pretty confident but is very humble at the same time.

It's going to be one hell of a fight and very close, but im leaning towards Eastman but it COULD go either way.

I'm looking at the line too. Mysportsbook.com has Eastman at +500. Although I think Hopkins will squeek by a decision...+500 is pretty good odds in my opinion for a 'close' fight.

If Eastman was a true 40-1 against good opponents he would have got his shot at the title a long time ago. He has a record as good as Hopkins and Hopkins has been the champ for 12 years.
