There are times when Pac put both his gloves on his face to cover punches. When he does this Cotto has to capitalize and throw powerful combos. Pac will learn just how much that will hurt and will stick and move. I expect both fighters to be thrown off the game plan and go to war somewhere in the mid rounds... that is if someone didn't get caught with a powerful KO beforehand.

If Cotto box perfectly like the early Mosley fight...........i think he handles pac speed...........................The ***in problem is he fades........Paqcs chin is no where near Shane imo................so we really dont know

Whats the last fight he was cut in not from a headbutt or possible hand wraps? It was the Judah fight, that was about 6 fights and 2 years ago. The question is, will the cut he received from Clottey be healed up enough so it doesn't open? I'm not too sure about that, it was 27 stitches worth of damage. He says its healing well and the good news, if you want to call it that, is that the cut wasn't on the eyelid, it was on the brow where the skin is at least a little more sturdy.

As far as the topic, just because Manny didn't get hit in his last three fights doesn't mean he doesn't get hit at all. Among Manny's last fights, I'd say Cotto is closer to being as good as Marquez than being as "bad" or overrated as Diaz, Old DLH and Hatton. Manny likes to exchange, he did it with Hatton for the entire second round going for the KO, he can get away with it with Hatton, he won't with Cotto. I see Manny moving in and out like the Oscar fight but Cotto's jab >>>>> DLH Jab, especially considering that Cotto uses it the whole fight not just 4 or 5 rounds like DLH and he has a lot more power behind it. Really though, Cotto will do more damage per hit and hit less, Manny will do less damage but hit more, it all comes down to speed vs power.

I'm still undecided on the fight but I'm leaning toward Cotto by KO very late 11 or 12, or a very close decision. I think Manny will box his ass off, but will get caught occasionally by Cotto and those shots are what are going to give Cotto the round, but I see one stunning Paq, Cotto jumping all over it and then wearing him down. At least that's what I hope Cotto does, he'll be able to box a little bit but there's no way he's beating Manny the way he fought Marg for the first six rounds.

cotto can definetly handle pacs punch..this is the same guys who hit oscar with everything for 8 rounds and never had him hurt..jus made him stay quiet on the stool..

Pac will land more frequently but Cotto can take Pac's punches better. It's really a pick 'em fight. But, if Pac lands the bomb he landed to KO Hatton, I'm pretty sure Cotto is at least gonna get knocked down. It depends on how fast Cotto can find Pac, because he tends to gas toward the end of his fights.

idk man I have mixed feelings about this fight

Sometimes I watch cotto and think to myself that Cotto is way too big for Pacquiao to handle but other times when watching Pac I think hes just going to be too fast and too active for cotto.
