Cotto vs Pac, Floyd vs JMM: Which Will Be the Bigger Event?

Maybe that's what you want it to look like, but you don't do US and European tours, 24/7, interviews on UK television, ESPN, etc if this is merely a tune up fight. Floyd was trying to make this a big event, anyone with a brain would understand that. GBP doesn't try to put on half ass tune up fights, just like any legit company...they're all about profit.^^^areyou ******ed
do you not understand the purpose of a tune up fight? i guess not. the May has been on leave. he needs to fight a tune up before a so called "hard fight" as like want to think it will be with PAC.
either you want someone to face Pac at 100% or not.
im guessing you dont.
second of all. Pac-Cotto is supposed to be a bigger fight than May-JMM their fight is a tune up. its not rocket science fool
Where Floyd failed is thinking people were going to rush to see him fight no matter who he was facing when in reality all people want to pay to see is him fight Pacquiao, Mosley, or Cotto. I believe he indeed may have gotten hurt leading to him postponing the fight, but isn't it ironic that they moved the fight to during Mexican Independence Day weekend? As good as JMM is, he's not a very big draw. So that leaves Floyd to pick up a lot of the slack from the reaction to the fight up to now not being very stellar whatsoever (with going on a month and a half before the bell rings).
All in all, none of this would even be an issue if Floyd didn't walk around calling himself the draw when in actuality he hasn't proven he's the star of the show. With Cotto and Pacquiao, you have 2 stars just fighting without the BS...and both are guys Floyd indeed could've fought (more recently Pacquiao). Nobody's waiting on Floyd anymore, people are moving on.Comment

Just because they're doing press tours in europe doesn't make it a big fight..What are you talking about? They were doing press tours in Europe! How are you saying they weren't billing this as a big fight? Anything Floyd wants to be in has to be of epic scale. But where he's failing is being on the A side of the equation where he himself is the "draw". It also makes it hard for him to promote a fight when you're asked about the "real" opponent he should be facing and turns it into a tirade of insulting Pacquiao, Mosley, and Cotto. Reason being? Because they're stealing his spotlight. Look at the hype that's already sprung from Cotto vs Pacquiao and that fight is damn near 4 months away. Floyd's fight is literally less than a month and a half away and nobody cares.
So in the end, what is Floyd really worth? With Cotto and Pacquiao you're seeing the two best fighters in the world literally go at it. Not once has either Cotto or Pacquiao mentioned who's the bigger draw...because they don't need to as you're witnessing right now.
It's a TUNEUP fight.
Cotto is not one of the two best fighters in the world...stop it.
Tony walked that ***** down like a pimp stalking a fleeing hooker...and Clottey hit him AT WILL...hardly one of the two best fighters in the world.Comment

I've been hearing that for years, and yet he still HASN'T beat Cotto, Mosley, or Pacquiao. Plus, who says he's even going to fight any of these guys with his ridiculous demands?
Trust me, I've been a Floyd fan for years, but it's tough to be a fan of his when he doesn't fight the fights everyone wants to see. Prove your worth. Pacquiao's went through Oscar and Hatton, and instead of retiring HE is fighting Cotto, something Floyd SHOULD'VE done after beating Hatton.
But hey, we have a great fight Nov 14th and that's all people want to see.Comment

Now that we finally have confirmation on Pac vs Cotto and Floyd vs JMM looming in the next couple months, which of the 2 fights does everyone see being the more successful as far as being lucrative, memorable, and competitive?
I for one believe Pac vs Cotto is going to be a much more successful event. Now, what I find interesting is how Floyd will be able to continuously claim he's the draw if it does end up where Pac vs Cotto sells through the roof.
You gotta think this will hurt his ego heavily.

This thread is ****ing ******.......
You dont think Floyd knows he would make more if his opponent was Pac or Cotto.
This is a dumb thread...especially when Floyd will face the winner.Comment
