if some nba schmuck can get paid 5 mil. a year sitting on the bench , it's nice that some boxers get paid as well.

Agreed bro...I watch the sport cause I love it...I have my favorite fighters...and they would be my faves regardless of Bentley or Bonneville.

I'm just saying the money talk is going to arise because it ( like pink said) is nice to see fighters getting there due...They fight in a sport where you can be done after 1 fight...could even die...15 mil for Cotto is good money...I'm happy for him...doesn't make him a better fighter but it nice to know the hard work paid off...I think saying who cares about money and it's about the fighters and not the money...is cute...and the POP thing to say cause it makes you look like a purist...but you want to know who cares about the money?

It shows they have no life of their own but eat, breathe, and live just for Cotto. Everybody knows that boxers put their life on the line each time they step up in the ring but getting excited about their idol raking in 15M is insane. Now I truly understand how they get emotional each time I make a joke about their idol.

Cotto owes them a significant percentage of the purse and PPV earnings.

Yall are trippin on this one....Salaries and signings are reported in every major sport.

Sportscenter based in America is reporting daily about a soccer player getting signed to a 132 mil contract in spain...Who cars about that in the USA.

Money makes news...It's just how **** works...it's part of the sport we love...we just supposed to ignore it because...Super Vet purists say..."its about the sport"????

Thats silly...Money is a major factor in this sport...It is a major contributing factor on what fights are made and what fights will be made in the future.

Ignore it if you want...but your turning a blind eye to a big portion of the sport.
