I don't see it as Cotto being a straight sucker by accepting a 65-35 if that's the case. remember that the 65-35 if for what the fight generates in tickets, ppv, etc.

Cotto managed to negociate the weight in his favor and he will receive a guarantee purse somewhere close to 10mil so what ever comes out of that 35% is extra for what has been already negociated.

I understand what you are saying in terms of resume and I'm not saying you are wrong but the fact is that the Boxer of the moment right now is Pacquiao and the only other boxer that probably would generate the type of money fighting Cotto is PBF and you know that it was not going to happen this year.

I don't know why he gets this fight. Margarito stomped him. Oh, the gloves were tampered with, I forgot. He won a BS piece of a title against some sub fighter and I felt that Clottey won his last fight or at least made him look like a "ham and egger". I used to really think Cotto was special. But he has been exposed. Pacman took this fight because unlike a Moseley who is on the upswing, Cotto looks pretty damn ordinary of late. Time will tell though. I'm a real big Pacfan, and I am disappointed he and Mayweather could not put petty stuff aside and give the fans the fight they REALLY want. Maybe it will get done sooner than later.
