What Mosley losses hurt his career the most?

Was it the two losses to Vernon Forrest? Or the two losses to Winky Wright?

Surely these four losses hurt Shane's reputation and standing in the sport, but which pair hurt more?

    Poll coming
    19
    The 2 Winky Wright losses
    21.05%
    4
    The 2 Vernon Forrest losses
    78.95%

I'd say Forrest without doubt since he took Shane's '0'. Winky was a much bigger guy, but Forrest hurt Shane like i've never seen him hurt. Forrest also beat him up on the amateurs so.

Forrest...it was very documented that Shane never beat him when they fought as kids...so I have to say Forrest

Good point. My only issue with that is Shane fought Oscar only one fight removed from the second Forrest loss, whereas it took him a couple fights then a pair of fights with Vargas to regain his status after the Wright losses.

I don't think either really hurt his career,Forrest was a huge welterweight, who just had Shane's number!!Winky wasnt lossing to anyone at 154 period!!Mosley took on everyone, that's why he deserves respect!!!

The Forrest losses were themost damaging. Usually the first loss of a fighters carrer can be the hardest to rebound from. At the time many considered him to be the P4P best in the sport. he lost to a fighter who most didn't give a chance of winning the fight. Then he rematched him and lost again. He did get a chnce to rebound quickly mostly because of his age and the fact that he still had goo dname recognition. The fact he had two straight losses to Winky hurt too but also he was a little bit older and many saw him as fighter past his prime. Even when he fought Vargas I remember Larry Mechant and hiscomments before the fight saying this was two past their prime fighters going head to head because they couldn't get a fight with anyone else....Lefty

Definitely the two losses to Forrest. He was he best fighter in the world at that time and no one expected it. At least against Winky Wright he was losing to an obviously bigger guy who went on to build an impressive resume afterwards.

Forrest. Shane lost wide both times. Against Winky the second fight was close. Forrest just had Shanes #.

I don't know about that. You can't say that losing to those guys didn't hurt his career. After the Winky losses, he fought two C level fighters and I'm assuming didn't make much off of it. If he beat Winky I don't think he fights those guys.
