  • Miguel Cotto Extends Top Rank Deal For Two Years

As many expected, WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto extended his contract with Top Rank as part of the deal to land a mega-fight with Manny Pacquiao for November 14 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Several months ago, Cotto became angry with Top Rank's support of Antonio Margarito, who had his license revoked by the California State Athletic Commission. He told outlets that he would explore his options at the end of the year, when his contract was expected to run out.

After Pac KO Cotto, I guess Arum is willing to dump him to GBP. Nice move by Arum. Oscar is fake drama queen.

Good stuff by Arum, he's in a no lose situation now. Once Cotto finishes off Pac, he can make Mayweather vs Cotto or Cotto vs Margarito 2.

Arum will then dump Pac to play his politics games..

**** me. If Cotto would have beat Pac, he could have left, signed with GBP and fought Mayweather. He should have waited after losing to resign with them

I told you guys months ago he wasnt getting th Pac fight unless he signed on again with Arum. Cotto is in a no win situation as far as boxing reputation for this fight, if he wins, he was the bigger guy if he loses he loses to the smaller man, it keeps him in a good financial situation though.

                  was there any doubt?

you know cotto wouldn't be getting a pac fight if he didn't extend.

uncle bob is always on top of his game.
