Cotto is nothing more than a tune up for Manny Pacquiao.

  • Just looking at people opinions about the fight it seems split so really can't call it a tune up. I could see this fight playing out with either man winning if they properly use their advantages.

I tend to favor Manny mainly because once Cotto starts retreating/boxing Manny will pummel him because Miguel does not have a good straight right hand, unless Miguel can take out Manny early he will start moving backwards at some point and once he starts with that **** he become very vulnerable.

Just an odd fight to me, doesn't really interest me much at all atleast without money riding on it, but will probably be following the line on this one and pick the right time to lay a bet on the underdog.

Wow dude now I know you are not a fan of boxing you jumped to say i was comparing Cotto to Hopkins when i clearly stated above that i wasnt .You dont like Cotto so you are going to hate on him but thats ok because the rest of the us who really appreciate boxing for what it is know that it will be a great fight no matter who wins and we know you cant count a boxer of the caliber of these two out until the fight is over

There is no loop in Miguel's right hand...I think you should go back and watch the tape...

I have no other disagrements with your points....Great fight either man can win.

Cotto I think pulls it out by late TKO when he piles it on.

It is still not a good punch for Miguel and he certainly does not use it in a manner that would make me think he could win a fight on it.

Clottey won and Cotto looked like he lost after the fight. The judges say whatever they are payed to say but the damage is done. Cotto takes way too much damage everytime he faces someone at the top level. And don't come telling me everyone does, take Hopkins or Mayweather for instance. Ok different styles. Exactly. And Cotto's style isn't gonna give him a very long career.
