Former Champion Steve Forbes To Sign With DiBella

Sources have indicated to BoxingScene.com that former champion Steve Forbes (34-7, 10KOs) is close to signing a promotional contract with Lou DiBella. In May of 2008, Forbes was in the highest profile bout of his career when he moved up in weight by nearly two weight divisions to drop a twelve round decision to Oscar De La Hoya. He returned that September, in the welterweight division, and lost a decision to WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto.

Steve just has no power. He is feather fisted and even slow at the heavier weights. He will be nothing but an opponent unless he can figure out how to drop two weight classes. Dropping one is a start. Good luck. Hard working good guy.
