The rights to video in boxing are so ridiculous.

They have an interview about the Cotto/Pacquiao fight, and what do people seeing Cotto or Pacquiao for the first time see when they show highlights? Them stretching, putting gloves on, and shadowboxing.

And it's all because HBO does not let anyone show their footage. It's ******. The promoters are pretty much the same. It makes no sense to me. They don't even sell footage of past fights yet they take stuff off of youtube.

There was a part in Rafael's blog about ESPN not being able to show the highlights of big fights while UFC let ESPN air everything immediately after their ppv.

I agree, HBO could make boxing much more marketable than it is. However, I think that they hold on to their beliefs that past fights are only for fighters and promoters, in fact they have a department that handles such requests. Its foolish, and they should relax their restrictions and start making good fights available just like other sports..
