He came in at 48' the night of the fight. And if you read my post, thats the whole point. I want JMM to come in at 41' also.
A few pounds aren't gonna make or break him.

U got it wrong. At an elite level every little detail matters.

Dlh was just a payday for pac and roach, it was not a legit ww win.

Pac weighed 148 lbs on fight nights of his last 2 fights... cotto has stopped allowing fight night weights because he can balloon up to 160 lbs.

If cotto can beat up someone that he outweighs by 10 lbs he needs to quit boxing

First off, Packy has fought at 47 and looked good doing it. Independently of how Oscar looked, Manny looked good regardless.

Secondly, Packy and Cotto are around the same size. Manny even said so.

Everybody knows that boxing isn't about muscles or weight but about technique and timing.

Also, ww is 41 to 47'. As long as both guys come in that range they are within the established weight parameters.

As a JMM fan, I'd prefer he come in at 41' and retain his speed than needlessly blow up just to try and weigh the same as Floyd who will probably come in at 47'.

At such a high level as this, a few pounds between the fighters don't matter.

As long as one fighter isn't forced to dry out and both fighters are allowed to make weight comfortably, the weight isn't that important.

      The better fighter will win.

As for Cotto coming in a few pounds over fight night. So what? Heavyweights do it all the time.

Heavyweights aren't superhuman, they have chins too. So why not ***** about the weight discrepancies there?

Eddy Chambers just got outweighed by almost 50 pounds against Sasha and he beat him like a drum.

The weight issue is not as important as people make it.

      The better fighter will win.

Now everyone quit your bitching and enjoy a damn good match. This is gonna be one for the ages.

      No excuses.

        No it doesn't.

        Skill is most important.

My Eddy Chambers example is airtight.

        No excuses.

weight does play a significant role, rumor has it that clottey outweighed Cotto by 10-12 pounds on fight night, outweighed judah by the same margin.

So what. Cotto still won. And Judah wouldn't have beaten Clottey no matter what he weighed.

            A few pounds don't matter.

The better man will win every time.

No one has yet to refute my heavyweight example.
