I realize a lot of people want Mosley to fight Berto, but can you really blame Mosley for the position he is taking where the money is concerned for that fight? Berto's stock should go down after that performance against Urango, not up. And he expects a heavy chunk of change to fight Mosley? He also barely squeaked by a guy that Shane dominated. Those kind of things run through Mosley's head when he considers taking this fight, and how much he thinks it's worth. And I don't know too much about this Turkish guy that Dibella is talking about throwing Berto in with. Can someone fill me in on him? And Flyest mentioned in another thread I believe that it is ****** to fight Paul Williams on Mosley's part. Goosen is offering him a $3 million payday supposedly. HBO is offering that much to Berto and Mosley to split down the middle. A fight with Williams brings more money.

I will never hate on Mosley. That's my favorite fighter and idol. I just feel sorry for the dude to be honest. That wasnt a good look with the fake press release.
I know you don't man he is my nr 1 boxer too and i feel sorry for him, really wanted him to get this fight. It just annoys me people calling Mosley: Ducker, Desperate/A joke etc dude deserves a big money fight vs Floyd or Pac IMO.

Those 2 could make him 10/15 million who knows? likes of Williams, Berto, Cintron what 2-4 mill or something? It's not even certain he will get a big fight after (he hopefully) beats one of those guys. So how people can **** on him for chasing the only real big money fight out there atm makes me /boggle

He wanted a huge share to face Berto (For damn good reason imo) which meant Berto would get less from that fight then he did Urango/Collazo fights.

+ Cotto got the fight instead of him as you probably know by now

well even though mosley is technically the top WW in the world (he beat the man that beat the man) i can understand why he's not getting much attention...

                  A) He's aged and therefore many arent taking him too serious still (even with the victory over mosley)

                  B) Cotto already beat him so many people consider Cotto the top WW (even if he TECHNICALLY isnt)

                  C) mosley is looking for money fights with the all the top fighters in and around his division wrapped up in talks with other fighters (ie. floyd and JMM...cotto and pacman; etc) so his options arent that wide open currently.

im not saying its exactly fair to mosley but thats why i see it unfolding the way it is.

While mosley is much closer to closing out his career then beginning his reign on top i firmly believe he still has some good fights left in him (as proof in the margarito fight).

i think; honestly his best options are guys like clottey at the moment...guys who arent at the TOP of the division but the guys on that rung that is just one good win away from getting there.

so maybe a fight with clottey on regular HBO or something to just stay busy (as it is important as you get into your later years in boxing). too long of a layoff can hurt mosley's timing and he may accumulate some ring rust.

so if im in mosley's ear im telling him to take a fight against almost any worthy opponent.

I guess it will probably be Williams then. I believe Shane can beat him. Williams isnt that hard to hit. If Mosley can sit on his punches he might be able to stop him to. Ricardson will come up with a game plan. It's not like Williams never has been beat before. My whole thing is Mosley doesnt need to be a stepping stone to anyone. We have Berto sitting on a belt scared to face the best. Clottey wants to fight him also

I feel sorry for Molsey's next oppenent to be honest. I dont care if its a kelly Pavlik type fighter. HE IS GOING TO WHOOP SOMEBODY'S ASS. It's just a sad day being a fan of his today.
