hit the nail on the head my manI don't like the "Chinny" comment. His chin wasn't too good at JWW, but that was due to having to cut a lot of weight. He was hurt by Margarito but that's iffy. He took some big shots from Mosley and Clottey and didn't seem too phased or hurt by them, so I'd say his chin is pretty good.
A big problem: TOO MUCH PRIDE!! He won't ever clinch unless he will fall down if he doesn't. How did Mosley beat Margarito? He clinched him everytime Margarito got some momentum going! Cotto refuses to do that. I'm not saying he should clinch like a ***** all the time, but he should definitely think about using it once in a while to break up an attack or momentum.
His stamina can fade, but thats a maybe I'd say. He definitely cuts very easily, Almost in every fight, especially after taking that headbutt from Urkal a few years back. And he will stay on the ropes if a fighter presses him too much. I think Pac will try to pressure him but I'm not sure how well it will work since Cotto will be significantly bigger, I think.
The Pluses you have mentioned are really good I think. He also can switch comfortably from Orthodox to Southpaw, and he has power in both his right hand and his left hook.
I find it hard to believe that people really don't like him... He has his flaws, yea, but he's great to watch and has a great attitude.Comment

Cotto is one of my favorite fighters man. I posted one of these type threads on Pacquiao. I have no hate. He's one of my favorite fighters along with Pacquiao. I hate to see this fight happen but I know it's gonna be one for the ages!I don't like the "Chinny" comment. His chin wasn't too good at JWW, but that was due to having to cut a lot of weight. I disagree with him getting cut easily and him being "Chinny." He hasn't been really HURT since the Judah fight and I believe that was his first at 147. He was never hurt in the Mosley fight, any damage/pain/kneeling he did in the Marg fight is suspect, and for anyone to think otherwise they are just ******. He may not have used them, but then again he may have and in order to prove he did use them you also have to prove he didn't and no one can prove either. That being said that fight we can just go with a no decision and essentially not give or take anything from that fight.
Anyway, Judah was really the last fight he got hurt. Mosley and Clottey hit him with bombs and he handled them all really well, and he took the Clottey body shots pretty nicely as well. As far as cuts, the last fight that he was cut in was the Judah fight as well, legitimately anyway. Clottey busted him open with that huge forehead, he didn't get any cuts in the Mosley fight. I will say that with that Judah fight, I didn't think Cotto's lip would ever heal fully, he hasn't had much of a problem with it since. Even still the cut from the Clottey fight has me worried, I'm not sure which of the two cuts are worse but that one was just BRUTAL in a spot where is easier to hit than right under the mouth.
I do have to agree 100% with his pride being a major flaw though. He should hold in certain situations, mainly against Margarito but he does hold when he gets hurt and those are about the only times he does. He is a great fighter to watch I don't think a few holds a fight would ruin that, he could avoid some damage if he would grab and rough up some people up close every now and then.Comment

Two key ones for me are
Good lateral movement, when he's in control.
Leans forwards into upper cuts, repeatedly.
He loses to Pacman because of the latter, and just not adapting well enough.Comment
