Mosley isn't and doesn't duck anyone, he was just looking for a big pay day and tried his hardest to get it done with Manny. He isn't ducking Williams, the fact is Williams last fight was at Middleweight, the guy has NOTHING to gain from beating up guys who look far smaller than him because that is how most people will see it. The WW guys have nothing to gain from fighting Williams because he is a no one in the public eye right now.
Back on topic, Mosley wasn't ducking anyone but I'm not going to say he was deserving of a Manny fight. The guy has had more than enough big paydays in his career and sadly, he is on the downside of his career. He lost to Cotto and essentially just pounded on old guys Vargas and Mayorga, prior to the Cotto fight... I think Mayorga was after actually. Anyway, yes, he did beat Margarito but that fight is what probably hurt Mosley the most, not because he KO'd him but because of the wraps. It basically gave Cotto the benefit of the doubt that he was beaten unfairly and the fight with Clottey was his chance to prove himself.
What is all really boils down to is Cotto is going to make for a bigger PPV than Mosley, Arum gets more money, and quite frankly Cotto is the rise in star power and Mosley is on the decline. Cotto has been in BATTLES the guy is due for some big money, Mosley's had his already if he has to wait a little longer for another one, so be it.Comment
