The pressure is on paquiao not cotto.

Now that we know that cotto-paquiao is official. lets begin by saying that the pressure is on paquiao not cotto, paquiao is in a situation that he cannot lose the fight. this is due the glass tower created by the media. he need to keep his image, otherwise the tower will be down. this is an advantage to Miguel. oh course, miguel will step in the ring like a hurricane smashing buildings. paquiao will not be able to hold the fury of the Taino from caguax (today caguas)

i'd disgree, the pressure is on both men. If cotto loses then he losses to a naturally smaller man and it sets him back and furthers himself from the main picture again, if he wins the fans could force a mayweather fight again.

A lot of pressure is on pacquiao but being the smaller man people will give him more sympathy should he lose, it's a massive risk fighting miguel and he always has the marquez trilogy lined up should he lose.

It's the other way round Pac wants only 1 or 2 more fights anyway before politics he is the dude coming up in weight and giving up big advantages to Cotto.

Cotto is meant to be in the elite league of boxers atm if he doesn't win were does it leave him? imo he wont get anything if he loses except maybe a margaritto fight and rebuild from there..

          Pressure is on Cotto to.

He didn't clearly win last time out and needs a clear victory against a top fighter plus Pacquiao is the smaller man.

There is nothing more embarrassing than losing to a midget flyweight. And plus, if it's by KO, I don't think Cotto should even continue fighting.

The pressure's on Cotto for sure.

Pressure is on both guys, but more with Cotto.

Even with pacquiao losing, he STILL has a potential 3rd fight with Marquez which even with both guys losing would make for a great fight and it'll still make money.

Cotto losing now really sets him back from being looked at as one of if not THE top dog in the sport. He lost his opportunity at that against Margarito and now losing to Pacquiao, though wouldn't end his career, may indeed put the imprint of "Always losing the big one" on his career.

But both winning either way sets up for some very interesting scenarios involving Floyd Mayweather and Shane Mosley
