It's being reported in Mexico that Hugo Cazares has landed a title opportunity and will face WBA "regular" super flyweight champion Nobuo Nashiro (13-1, 8KOs) on September 23 in Tokyo, Japan. Vic Darchinyan is the WBA's "super" champion at the weight. [details]

Good news, at least to me. Nashiro is finally about to face someone whose name is known among fight fans. I watched Cazares fight Roberto Vazquez. He is a good fighter, who knows how to rebound from the weigh in. Nashiro has no power advantage, but speed is where he can prevail.

Oh and Japan is not a type of country that HEAVILY favors hometown fighters. You can count on it. Rojas - Aoh is one nice evidence.

Cazares should feel good after those comeback wins against some of the biggest no-hoper competition ive seen in recent times for a championship level fighter like himself. i shouldnt be a boxrec warrior on this, but i have to ask you warp, what in the name of fighting harada makes you think Nashiro will lose this fight?
